Ingredients
1 scoop (34g) BPN Cinnamon Roll Whey Protein Powder
¼ cup (30g) All-Purpose Flour
Pinch of Salt
¾ tsp Baking Powder
¼ tsp Apple Pie Spice
¼ tsp Cinnamon
½ cup (120g) Unsweetened Applesauce
1 Whole Egg
½ tsp Vanilla Extract
½ Large Granny Smith Apple
1 tbsp Light Butter*
¼ cup Sugar Free Maple Syrup*
Cinnamon to Taste

Directions
Preheat waffle iron to medium heat. Add all ingredients for the waffles to a bowl. Gently stir together until a smooth batter forms.
Spray waffle iron with nonstick cooking spray. Divide the batter between 3-4 spots in the waffle iron (or 1 large waffle with a Belgian waffle iron). Cook for 5-7 minutes or until the waffles are golden brown.
For the apple topping, heat butter on medium/high heat in a pan. Chop apple into small cubes, and add apple and maple syrup to the pan. Cook apples in butter / maple syrup for about 6-8 minutes. They should be tender, but not mushy. Add cinnamon to taste.
Top waffles with cooked cinnamon apples and enjoy!
Recipe Note
*Can also use regular pure maple syrup and regular butter for the apple topping depending on calorie needs.
